  • Golden pheasant red body feathers

  • Golden pheasant tippet feather

  • Orange hackle feather

  • Medium oval gold tinsel

  • Orange seal's fur

  • Partridge double #6 salmon hook


Tying instruction

 

Tie in a few bucktail fibres, a little longer than the shank

 

Tie in a small bunch of shorter hairs

 

Tie in a red golden pheasant feather flat over the short hair

 

Tie in tinsel and hackle feather

 

Turn the thread to the middle of the hook and dub the thread with orange seal's fur

 

Dub the 2/3 rear part of the body with orange seal's fur

 

Turn the rib and the hackle

 

Tie in a red golden pheasant feather flat over the rear body

 

Tie in a golden pheasant tippet feather, but cut out the center fibres to form a V

 

Tie in a smaller hackle and a piece of tinsel

 

Dub the thread with orange seal's fur

 

Dub the body

 

Turn the rib

 

Turn the hackle

 

Tie in a red golden pheasant feather but underside up, length a little bit longer than the short tail hair

 

Tie in a red golden pheasant feather with shiny side up on top of the other feather
